"Access to education is free and equal for all Nicaraguans," says the nation's constitution. Elementary educación is free, but some niños are not able to attend escuela because their familias need them to ayudar en casa. Very little Nicaraguans can speak inglés, so the instructions are given in español when an assignment is given. La escuela year runs from marzo to diciembre, but some escuelas run from febrero to noviembre. Escuelas are not accessible in some parts of Nicaragua. Right now, Nicaragua is facing financial problems, so of the 30% of estudiantes that enroll in an escuela, very few make it to sixth grade, or primary education (first to sixth grade) Some of the estudiantes then move to junior high. After junior high, los estudiantes move to a secondary education. Many of the poorer Nicaraguans can only dream of a secondary education (high school). Of the few that make it to secondary education, they will continue their studies and education at local universities. Some escuelas in Nicaragua are:

Nicaragua has a number of español speaking escuelas located throughout the country. Español is a required subject and must be taken en every grade throughout the year. Some subjects include educatión física, español, ciencias,y some escuelas enseñar inglés. Some things that are the same in los Estados Unidos and in Nicaragua are that there are both public and private escuelas; there are some of the same subjects; y the grading scale is almost the same. En Nicaragua, escuela starts in marzo y ends in diciembre (or in febrero y ends in deciembre), and in los Estados Unidos, escuela starts in agusto y ends in mayo and in Nicaragua y in Estados Unidos estudiantes are required by law to attend escuela y in Nicaragua, education is optional.

I hope that soon all of the people there could go to high school to get educated.

Your report has given me a wonderful insight to the education system of Nicaragua. I learned a lot about the schools and I got a better understanding of them. I never knew that education is optional there, or about many of the other facts you included. You posted some very interesting information.
